Database Systems Specialist, UIC
INTERNAL SEARCH - REVISED Database Systems Specialist The Office of Facility Information Management seeks an individual to maintain the campus space inventory applications: Archibus FM 14, a front end to an Oracle 9i database; web applications; and AutoCAD 2005/2007 drawing information. Responsibilities include system administration, management, and development; coordinating information services to internal and external groups; serving as a consultant to FIM and other units; troubleshooting and training staff on applications; staying current on new technologies. Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field required, Masters preferred, with two years relevant work experience and knowledge of MS Office Professional, web scripting (ASP, Java, Flash, etc.), and Oracle (9i or higher). Knowledge of mapping APIs (e.g., Google Maps API, ESRI, MapGuide), space management software (Archibus FM 14, AutoCAD 2005/2007), Crystal Reports or comparable, and of campus organizational structure, personnel, and software systems, such as Banner, preferred. This is a continuous, full-time, 12-month academic professional position. Anticipated start date: 7/1/08.
