Grants and Contracts Coordinator, UIC

The Section of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine, at the University of Illinois at Chicago, is seeking to fill a Grants and Contracts Coordinator position.

Grants and Contracts Coordinator to assist in the management and coordination of grants for governmental and industry funded research and clinical trial programs of the Section of Hematology/Oncology. Duties may include but are not limited to administration of research budgets and related fiscal planning; data gathering, maintenance, analysis and providing assistance in writing of grants and reports. This person will also serve as a resource person for the research facility and assist with grant-related issues with other campus units and external funding agencies. Bachelor's degree (Master's Preferred) in relevant field. At least one year of experience in administration of research budgets and related fiscal planning, grant proposal preparation, and database management. Must be proficient in the use of MS Office including Word and Excel. Familiarity with the UIC financial accounting system a plus. Must have strong communications (written and oral), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
