CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS:

My research focuses on how information technologies (such as multimedia representational aids, video conferencing, and world-wide networking) can better inform debate and decision making with a specific focus on geographic information. I teach graduate level courses in analytic methods and new and emerging technologies for planning and decision support. I also teach a seminar and do research on public transportation –specifically urban rail transit. In addition to my academic work, I consult with a variety of public and private agencies on information technology and communications issues. Finally, I am an active professional speaker and author on the application of information technology in the area of city planning and development.
