The UIC Student Exchange Program is a mutual exchange of students between UIC and international colleges and universities in Asia, Europe, North America and South America. The UIC International Exchange is offered through the UIC Office of International Affairs (IAO).

Students who participate in the exchange program may study for a summer, semester or academic year abroad. The reciprocity of the exchange program offers students an affordable option for overseas study because students only pay tuition to UIC and do not pay provider fees. Students in the exchange program are responsible for paying for food and accommodations abroad. The Student Exchange Program offers many programs tailored to meet the needs of students with strong language proficiency, as well as students who do not speak any foreign language.

To apply for the Student Exchange Program, students must submit an application. Deadlines vary by program. Please contact the Exchange Programs Coordinator at (312) 996-5455 for your specific program deadline and directions on how to apply.

There are scholarships available for study abroad, just apply.
