JOB TITLE
Salt Lake City Outreach Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a 20--28 hour per week job with moderately flexible hours.
As Salt Lake City Outreach Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to design and deploy an effective outreach effort to acquire new residential and new business customers for Rocky Mountain Power’s Blue Sky renewable energy program, raise awareness and visibility in Salt Lake City about the Blue Sky program, and respond to requests from community groups, businesses, and customers about the Blue Sky program.
POSITION LOCATION
Salt Lake City, with moderate travel to communities within a 60 mile radius. Please note 3Degrees does not have an office in Salt Lake City and this role requires the individual to work from a home or personal office. Applicants must have regular access to a computer, phone, and email.
CORE DUTIES
•Attend existing area events and coordinate store-front tabling efforts
•Hire, train, and manage a part-time outreach staff
•Direct Blue Sky outreach/sales to Rocky Mountain Power business customers in Salt Lake City
•Formally present Blue Sky program information to community groups
•Manage and work within a budget for personnel and other outreach costs
•Closely track outreach efforts to determine relative success; strive for ongoing improvement
•Establish relationships with area stores, non-profits, and businesses to support outreach efforts
•Answer inquiries and requests from community groups and customers for information or Blue Sky program materials
•Acquire and maintain a deep familiarity and knowledge of the Blue Sky program
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
•Sales and sales management experience
•Experience campaigning for an environmental cause
•Excellent organizational skills
•Very professional
•Fluency in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
•Deep knowledge of Salt Lake City and the surrounding area
•Ability to work independently
•Dedication to sustainability and renewable energy
•Excellent communication skills
•Must have reliable transportation
•Ability to work some evenings and weekends
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
•Hourly rate commensurate with experience and position-type
•Small monthly stipend for home office expenses
•Ability to make a difference and affect positive environmental change
