2012 Midwest Dental Student Research Conference

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry is pleased to welcome our colleagues to our college for the 2012 Midwest Regional Dental Student Conference. We look forward to providing an appealing and interactive environment for dental students to present their research and receive constructive feedback from each other and knowledgeable faculty.

Registration

Registration is due March 26, 2012. To register, participants should click here and complete their information.

Abstract Submission

Abstracts are due March 30th and should be submitted by downloading the Abstract Form and uploading it through the online system. Research presented at the 2012 AADR conference in Tampa and at other meetings is eligible for presentation at this event.

Student Research Group-hosted gathering located close to conference hotel, to begin approximately 6pm. Information to follow.

Saturday, April 14, 2012

8:00am: Registration opens, continental breakfast
9:00am – 5:00pm: Conference. Detailed schedule to be posted.
6:00pm: Banquet. Location and information to be posted.

Hotel Reservation

A block of rooms for the nights of April 13th and 14th has been reserved at the Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro. The hotel is located between the UIC College of Dentistry and downtown Chicago and very close to the West Loop with many restaurants. Visit the Crowne Plaza's website. Use the online booking link in order to receive the group rate of $139.00 + tax.

Location

Except where noted, the conference will occur at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, 801 S. Paulina Street, Chicago, IL, 60612. The banquet will occur outside of the College of Dentistry. Further location and information will be provided to participants.

Transportation

From downtown Chicago to UIC College of Dentistry: public transit: take the Pink Line (elevated train) from the Loop to the Polk station. Take a right when exiting the station. UIC College of Dentistry is located on the intersection of Polk and Paulina.

By car: Take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) to the Ashland Avenue exit; take Ashland Avenue south to Polk Street. Take a right and proceed two blocks. UIC College of Dentistry is located at the intersection of Polk and Paulina. Parking is available in a garage south of the College. Take a left on Paulina. The garage is the first structure south of the College.

A shuttle will provide transportation from the conference hotel on the day of the event. Details to follow.
