MOST Summer 2013
The MOSTSummer Program provides unique research experiences to qualified undergraduate students for the 2013 session. Participants work with faculty mentors to design and conduct a research project. Areas of research include: wound and tissue regeneration, developmental biology, bioengineering, biomaterials, cancer biology, microbiology and immunology. Students will also participate in regular seminars and other larger group activities, as well as prepare for presentation of their research.
Program Structure
Eligibility
Undergraduate students, who are considering careers in biomedical or biological sciences and who are either US citizens or Permanent Residents, are encouraged to apply. Students who will graduate prior to the summer of 2013 are not eligible. All participants must have health insurance for the duration of the program.
UIC is dedicated to increasing the participation of individuals currently underrepresented in the biomedical and clinical sciences, as diversifying the student and faculty bodies improve the quality of the training and educational environment.
How to Apply
Applications for the summer of 2013 are due February 18th, 2013. Please include the following:
- Application form
- Up-to-date transcript from current undergraduate institution
- Two letters of recommendation from academic sources
