Artist's Statement:
Artists and art enthusiasts around the globe have admired the drive and determination of this youthful artist. Vibrant colors and a whimsy unlike any other, Marcus’ art has been displayed, honored, and collected by the influential as well as first timers who have just recently been exposed to the magical transformation his art brings into existence. The scrollwork doodles in his abstract paintings push the limits of line, technique and imagination in directing the eye throughout the piece like a pinball machine. Using mixed media to create his collage series of wildflowers, Marcus Alleyne is taunting the boundaries of 2 dimensional arts while symbolically addressing the role nature and technology play in our daily lives. “I just want to create art people can enjoy today and still look forward to seeing something new from me tomorrow.”
