AARCC Funding

 

The Asian American Resource and Cultural Center has funds available to support individuals or organizations that focus on Asian American issues.

Types of proposals AARCC might fund include:

  • Honorariums/contracts for speakers or entertainers

  • Audio/visual or other equipment for events

  • Registration fees for professional or student conferences

  • Publicity, including copying or mailing cost

  

Proposed Funding Process:

Any organization(s) or individual(s) requesting funding from AARCC must fill out a proposal form by Friday at 4 p.m. at least two weeks before the event.

Criteria:

Event/activity must:

  • Fulfill any or combination of AARCC's Mission and Current Goals
  • Focus on Asian American issues and/or target an Asian American audience
  • Have an affiliation with UIC (students, staff, faculty, and/or campus location)

AARCC will NOT fund:

  • Cash or gift certificates intended as event prizes
  • Income-generating events or fundraisers

Usually:

  • For attending conferences/events, we usually fund registrations for two individuals.

 

If funded, organization must acknowledge funding from the Asian American Resource and Cultural Center (do not abbreviate) on all publicity. This can be done with the AARCC logo (EPS high quality logos are preferred for print publicity). Copies of electronic and print publicity should be provided to AARCC when finalized.
