Connecting to UIC-WiFi with Android |

See wireless.uic.edu for more information on using the UIC public wireless networks. |

UIC-WiFi uses WPA2 Enterprise security with 802.1x authentication, EAP with TTLS and PAP. These instructions should help you to get your Android (2.1 or higher) device connected to campus WiFi. You need to be on campus to do this, near a UIC-WiFi access point. Also note that these instructions are for the UIC-WiFi campus network, not UIC-Wireless. UIC-WiFi is a newer campus-wide wireless network that the ACCC is working on. UIC-WiFi will eventually replace UIC-Wireless. The process of connecting to UIC-Wireless should be similar; we just haven't tried it.

The process should be the same to connect to UIC-Wireless rather than UIC-WiFi, but UIC-Wireless uses Dynamic WEP encryption, as you can see in the image above. Like UIC-WiFi, it uses 802.1x authentication, EAP with TTLS and PAP. |
