Step 1 NetID & Password
Same login as my.UIC/UIC Connect!
I already created my Common Password.

I never set my Common Password.
I forgot my Common Password.

Step 2 Mailserv
Do you own a mailserv account? Let's check.

  1. In the "My Email" box at the top left:
  2. Click "Create Your UIC Email/Calendar Account"
  3. Select the LOGIN button.
  4. Login with your UIC netid and common password.
    • Look under Existing Accounts.
      • Does it say Mailserv? Great!
      • Close that window and skip to Step 3 below
    • If not, look under New Accounts.
      • Does it say Mailserv?
      • Select Mailserv and click the "Create Account" button.
      • Does it say Success! Great!
      • Close that window and go to Step 3.

Step 3 Mailrouting
Where is your uic.edu email going? Let's check.

  1. In the "My Email" box at the top left:
  2. Click "Email Forwarding"
  3. Login with your UIC netid and common password.
  4. Check or change your email forwarding.
  5. Close that window and go to Step 4.

Step 4 EnterpriseID & Password
Login to my.UIC.

  1. Click the "Academics" tab at the top.
  2. Click "Student Self-Service" on the right.
    • Does it say "Welcome"? Great!
    • Don't close that window! Just skip to step 5.
  3. If not, select "Click here to reset your password" on the bottom right.
    • Login with your UIC email address, like "netid@uic.edu" and common password.
    • Create an Enterprise Password. Try to make it the same as your common password.
    • When you are successful, close that window and go to Step 5.

Make sure an Orientation leader confirms your successful login!

Step 5 Emergency Contact
Login to my.UIC.

  1. Click the "Academics" tab at the top.
  2. Click "Student Self-Service" on the right.
  3. Click Personal Information.
  4. Click Emergency Contact.
  5. Click New Contact.
  6. Create a new Emergency Contact.

Step 6 Customize my.UIC
Login to my.UIC.

  1. On the "Home" tab at the top:
  2. Click the little person next to "Home"
  3. Click "Add Content" at the top of a column.
  4. Find your college's RSS feed from the list.
  5. Click "Add Now" to add your college feed.


Be sure you completed ALL the steps!
Close all browser windows when you are done!
