+ Step 1 Mailrouting

Where is your uic.edu email going? Let's check.

Read the first line. See where your mail is being routed to.

You can change it if you want using the grey box on the bottom right.

  • The "Mailserv" account is an ACCC email account provided to you.
  • You can choose to send your mail somewhere else, like Gmail or Yahoo, using the last option.

Be sure you know where your UIC email is going and that you check it every day!

+ Step 2 Emergency Contact

Login to Student Self-Service!
  1. Click Personal Information.
  2. Click Emergency Contact.
  3. Click New Contact.
  4. Create a new Emergency Contact.

+ Step 3 Customize my.UIC

Login to my.UIC.

If this machine doesn't allow you to log in, just read these instructions and you can do it at home.

On the "Home" tab at the top:
  1. Click the little person next to "Home"
  2. Click "Add Content" at the top of a column
  3. On the left, click on "Academic Resources"
  4. There are 4 pages of feeds to look at. Find your college's RSS feed from the list.
  5. Click "Add Now" to add your college feed.
  6. Close all browser windows completely - or the next student can change YOUR email routing!


Be sure you completed ALL the steps!
Close all browser windows when you are done!
