| How to Check Your DNS Entry | ||||||||||||||||
|
We determine whehter a machine is on campus by checking your registration
in the DNS (Domain Name Server). If the DNS says you are in the uic.edu
domain, that counts as on campus. If, despite Internet regulations and
campus policies, you are somehow using a computer that is not registered in
the DNS, it will appear to be off-campus for this purpose. You can the machine
