Changing Your Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server (Macs)

Eudora 2.1 to 4.x
|

- Open Eudora.
- On the Eudora menu bar, select Special, then select Settings.
- In the Settings window, click the Hosts icon.
- Type the SMTP server name in the appropriate field.

Netscape 2.x and 3.x
|

- Open Netscape.
- On the Netscape menu bar, select Options, then select Mail and
News Preferences.
- On the Servers tab, type the SMTP
server name in the appropriate field.

Netscape 4.x
|

- Open Netscape.
- On the Netscape menu bar, select Edit, then select Preferences.
- Under Category: choose Mail & Newsgroups.
- Under Mail & Newsgroups choose Mail Servers.
- Type the SMTP server name in the appropriate field.

Outlook Express
|

- Open Outlook Express.
- On the Outlook menu bar, select Edit, then select Preferences.
- Under Sending Mail - SMTP Server:, type the SMTP server name.

WebMail
|
| |
WebMail runs on a machine on the UIC campus; it is not affected by this change. |
