Lotus Notes Passwords

Notes uses two different passwords. If you are using the Lotus Notes client, the password is stored in the Notes ID file that was given to you.If you forget that password there is little that the Notes administrator can do. To change the Notes ID password, click on File->Tools->User ID

There is a different password that is used when you access applications from the Web. This password can be reset by the Notes administrator. If you would like to change it you can do so, from this site http://www-notes.cc.uic.edu/password.nsf

Changing the password on the ID file (using the Notes client) does not change your Notes Web Password.
