Dec 30 2004 - Components of the MAILSERV system will be down for maintenance between 9pm and 3am tonight (12/30-12/31). The entire system will not be down at any point, so you may be able to access mail at some moments and not others.

Dec 27 2004 - We are experiencing problems with 2 components of mailserv. The problem has been difficult to diagnose - we are still working on it.

Dec 14 2004 - Due to earlier Banner outage, the deadline for Grade Submission has been extended until Wednesday, December 15, 1:00pm.

Dec 03 2004 - At least two institutions in the Illinois Medical District have been victimized in a computer theft scam.

Two individuals posing as members of the "Dell Research Team" have been allowed access to offices from which they removed computer equipment.

The offenders are described as male blacks, both bald and of medium to dark complexion. One is in his 30s and is 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. The other is in his 40s, 5-foot-11 and over 225 pounds.

UIC and IMD Police caution against granting access to any personnel who are not responding to a service request and who have not shown proper identification.

Report any suspicious activity to the UIC Police at 6-2830.
