Sep 29 2005 - The ADSM Network Backup server will be down for upgrades, from 10AM to 4PM on Thursday September 29. This is to expand the number of tape slots in the automated tape library, to accomodate more backed-up data, as each of you gets larger hard drives and fills them with data.

All previously backed up data will again be available for restore when it is back up.

Sep 25 2005 - Icarus will be down from 9am to 3pm on Sunday (9/25) for filesystem maintainence.

Sep 21 2005 - Blackboard will be down today (Weds) from 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM for maintenance.

Sep 13 2005 - The air conditioning has been repaired, and the server for the ADSM network backup service is now back up and running normally for the evening backup cycle.

Sep 13 2005 - The ADSM network backup system is currently down due to an air conditioning failure. The temperature in its room has risen to 95F, so we shut it down to avoid damage to the equipment and possible loss of backed up data. With the equipment not running, previously backed up data will remain safe. Watch this space for updates as the air conditioning is repaired.

Sep 09 2005 - Icarus' mail service (IMAP, POP, pine, incoming mail) will be offline between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM this evening (Friday 9/9/2005) to enlarge the filesystem that houses inboxes. This will affect anyone who receives their mail on Icarus, including those using clients like Eudora or Webmail. Deliveries attempted during this period will be re-delivered when the mail service is up.

Sep 06 2005 - All ACCC computer labs will be restarted at 3 AM Wednesday 09/07/2005 for a scheduled software deployment. Please be prepared by saving your work prior to 3 AM. Deployment will take less than 15 minutes. Thank you for your patience.
