Finding Your Answer: Netnews/Usenet FAQs

Got a computer-related question? For that matter, got a question about just about any topic? Regardless of your question is, you're almost certainly not the first person to ask it. So there's a real possibility you can find the answer you're looking for in the FAQ -- Frequently Asked Questions -- document for some Netnews/Usenet newsgroup.

And here's where to find the Usenet FAQs, all of them: The Internet Consortium's Internet FAQ Archives, at: http://www.faqs.org/ (Or it's non-frame version at: http://www.faqs.org/nfindex.html)

Is your question computer-related? Then you probably want the List of Usenet FAQs for the comp heirarchy, which includes FAQs for programming languages (comp.lang.*), the WWW (comp.infosystems.www.*), various ope rating systems (comp.os.*), comp.security, and UNIX (comp.unix.*).
