If you have been provided a username and login password you can enter it now. By default your username will be your UIC netid. (Please note, at this time CentraOne passwords are not necessarily the same as your UIC or ACCC common password.) If you are unable to login please send an e-mail to email@example.com and we will reset your password.
Creating an Account
If you do not yet have an e-rooms account you can click on the button labeled "Create" to set up an account for yourself on the server. When creating an account we ask that you please use the naming convention we have established - that is using your UIC netid as your username.
If you are not affiliated with UIC, or you are creating an account for someone not affiliated with UIC please be sure to append a "-ext" onto the end of the username. For example, if your participant is named John Smith you would create the username "jsmith-ext".
After you have successfully logged in you will see a list of events that you are scheduled to participate in. In order to attend the event in question click on the button labeled "Attend" or "Lead" in order to access the event.
Enrolling in an Event
If you have not been enrolled in an event then you may need to perform a self enrollment after logging in. In order to self enroll click on the link labeled "Event List" on the left hand side of your screen.
In the subsequent screen perform a search for the event that you wish to attend. You can search by the name of the event or by date.
After you have found the event that you wish to attend click on the link labeled "Enroll". After you have enrolled click on the link on the left hand side of the screen labeled "My Schedule". You will now see the event you just enrolled in listed. In order to attend click on the link labeled "Attend".
The Audio Wizard
If this is your first time participating in a Centra event you will see the system automatically downloading the software client and connecting to the optimal server. The first time you login to a Centra session you will be prompted to walk through the "Centra Audio Wizard". This wizard will attempt to configure your system speakers and microphone if your computer has them. Follow the steps on screen to walk through the "Centra Audio Wizard".
If you do not have speakers or a microphone you can always participate in the event by clicking on the "Text Chat" icon.
