Downloading the FirstClass Client
The FirstClass clients for the Macintosh and for Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000 are available for download from the Web, for the convenience of the UIC faculty and students. Please use the UIC-provided FirstClass client software version 5.5 (or newer) to avoid any compatibility problems with the UIC FirstClass Server. These packages contain the customized settings file with our server address.

Download for Macintosh

(fcc.sea.hqx, 1.7 MB)
These archives are encoded with Binhex compression, which requires Stuffit Expander. If you have version 3.0 or higher of Netscape Navigator, Stuffit Expander will be included in the Netscape installation, and should automatically launch to decode files with the extension .hqx when downloaded. If you do not have Stuffit Expander, Netscape can be configured to decode .hqx files by itself.
