Group Conferencing: Multipoint Control Units (MCU's) Conducting Group Videoconferences Videoconferencing is very easy to use for point to point communications but ever so often it may be necessary to conduct conferences across multiple (3 or more) locations. UIC is no longer running an MCU, in order to facilitate this type of IP videoconference the Illinois Century Network (ICN) provides access to Multipoint Control Units (MCUs). Scheduling a conference on the MCU will provide you with a single dialing ID that you can distribute to the remote sites that you wish to communicate with.
