Step 3 - Basic Configuration: Setting the unit's IP Address
To begin configuration pick up the remote control. Upon picking up the remote you will see a yellow frame appear around the currently selected item. To navigate to the different menu items simply use the navigation keys. Press the right navigation button to highlight the "System Info" icon. Press the ENTER key to confirm your selection.

On the subsequent menu use the navigation keys to highlight the "Admin Setup" Icon. After highlight the "Admin Setup" icon press enter to confirm your selection.

Within the Admin setup screen, navigate to the LAN/H.323 icon. Press enter to confirm your selection.

On the subsequent screen navigate to the LAN & H.323 icon and press enter.

On the subsequent screen navigate to the LAN & Intranet icon and press enter.

The settings of your unit should be set as follows:

WINS resolution: off (no red light)

Input your IP address by using the number pad on the remote control. To enter the dots in your IP address use the right navigation key.

Enter the DNS servers as 128.248.2.50 and 128.248.7.50 (UIC only).

Now input your gateway and subnet mask.

WINS server should be set to 0.0.0.0

When you have entered this information press the enter key or the menu button. The system will ask you to reset the power in order for the changes to take effect. Highlight the "Yes" box, press enter, and wait for the unit to restart. After your system has powered on you can continue to Step 4 of the configuration process.
