ACCC WebDisks - Accessing Via a Web browser In order to use WebDisks from a web browser please visit: and login using your netid as your username and your ACCC common password as your password.
You will be brought into the blackboard interface where you will see the main "My UIC" tab, as well as a series of other tabs and links. Click on the tab labeled "Content System" in order to enter the ACCC WebDisk environment.
Once logged in to the WebDisk system, you will see several buttons that correspond to WebDisk options. You will be able to perform the commands associated with those buttons by clicking on them: In order to upload a file, click on the button labeled "+ Item" on the toolbar .
Simply click "Browse" to locate the file locally.
Then scroll down and click on the "Submit" button to complete your action and upload the file to your webdisk.
You can create a folder directory structure by clicking on the button labeled "+ Folder" on the toolbar . Here, you can create a name for the folder and specify a quota. A quota would be important if you decide to give users permission to write to this folder, as explained on the Sharing Files support page.
Once you have created the folder, you will be taken back to the originating folder and will see the new folder. You can click on this folder to then add content to the inside of this folder. Please refer to the documentation to read about the advanced options available through the web interface. After adding your files and folders you can log out of WebDisk and then log in and access your files from any web browser and internet connected computer. |
