ACCC Exchange Services
With much demand, the ACCC is providing email in an Exchange environment. This premium service ensures a flawless integration with Outlook, enhancing your management of calendar, email, contact, task, and note integration. The ACCC Exchange service has superior speed with large mailboxes, and an up-to-date and functional web interface. Mobile computing is made easy with native support for Windows Mobile smart phones.
To request an ACCC Exchange Service mailbox, please inform the REACH contact person from your unit and fill out the Service Request Form. For additional information, please feel free to contact us at lan@uic.edu.
General Information:
All UIC affliliates who have a valid netid can request an Exchange account. The cost breakdown for each exchange mailbox is as follows:
- Exchange with a 300 MB mailbox is $ 15.00 monthly
- Exchange with a 1000 MB mailbox is $ 21.00 monthly
Features offered as part of this Exchange Mail service:
- Access to mailbox via MAPI, and Outlook Web Access (OWA)
- Authentication based on established campus Active Directory (AD)
- Exchange mail account password integration with ACCC common password and a secure online password changing utility
- Access to a calendar with the ability to propose meetings with other faculty and staff
- Online directory of all campus users, groups, and lists
- Individual task lists, journals, and personal folders
- Virus protection on messages and attachments
- Thirty-day retention of deleted items in individual mailboxes
