Checklist for ACCC Computers with Accessibility Software |
Please make sure the accessible workstations that include accessibility software are working during your shift. Besides checking the software, please make sure there are no obstacles around the station that will make the computer system physically inaccessible. Chairs may need to be moved in order for someone to access the computer using a wheelchair. Also make sure the signage for the computers with accessibility software are still posted with the correct information. The signage can be printed from the CSO reference page.
To check the Zoomtext, JAWS, and Kurzweil 3000 accessibility software programs you will need an audio headset to check the audio output of the programs.

ACCC will send information to the Disability Resource Center ( drc@uic.edu ) with known issues regarding the accessible computer workstations. This will allow the DRC to contact the students with disabilities that are using the computer workstations to inform them of any difficulties accessing the workstations.
