Introduction to ADDA
-
ADDA is the rebirth of ACCC's Server Services giving staff, and faculty members access to
Licensed Software. This service is accessible through the new ADDA client. Major advantage for users
is the account manageablity using common password for authentication into ADDAS. For more information
about resetting your account password, please check out ACCC account password policy. For lab/generic accounts,
please contact your department's REACH person to manage and maintain these accounts.

This versatile client will allow for he checking of user's access permission, mapping of the Software Network shae,
downloading the KeyClient, and listing of software installation packages for both Windows XP and Vista machines to choose
from.

Cost of ADDA

ADDA software is available in Full Packet or Lite Version. Offices that mainly needs Microsoft Office
suite can take advantage of ADDA Lite version while ADDA full gives access to all the applications that ACCC has
site licensed for.

Vista-Specific Instructions

If you are using the windows Vista Operating system, you will need to disable the User Access Control ('UAC')
feature or many installations will not work properly. Follow these steps to disable UAC:
- Click on the Start button on Windows
- In the search box in the Start menu, type msconfi and hit enter
- Click on the Tools tab in the window that pops up
- Scroll down to the tool named "Disable UAC", click on it, then press that Launch button
- Restart your computer
If you would like to enable UAC for any reason, you can do that through what is essentially the same process.
The only difference is that you need to select the "Enable UAC" tool of "Disable UAC in step 4.
