Active Directory Desktop Application Client

ADDA resource for Mac Users
To use ADDA on a Mac, you will need to mount to our application server. Here are 4 simple steps:
  1. Select Go in the menu bar and select Connect to Server

    2. Macs system mapping to ADDA server

  2. In the Server Address field, type in smb://uic-cc-ss3.server.uic.edu/macapps and click on Connect
  3. Enter your NetID and Common Password and click Connect
  4. Once connected, you can select the volumes that you have permission to mount to and click OK
Installing the Key Client
  1. Navigate to the "Mac_OS_X_Apps" folder
  2. Download the K2Client.dmg. Execute the application by double clicking on it.

  3. The application needs administrator access to your machine which will require your local --Mac-- user name and password (not to be confused with your NetID and Common password.)
  4. During configuration you must enter the name of our keyserver, which is keyserv.cc.uic.edu. Make sure that it is spelled correctly then click OK
