Importing ICS Calendar files into Entourage 2004. This applies if you use UICal and wish to transfer those events into Exchange. However, any ICS file can be imported this way. This applies to Entourage 11.2.3 or later.
- Generate your ICS calendar file using the MAC Oracle Client available from ACCC. http://www.uic.edu/depts/accc/software/uicalendar/macinstall.html
- Install and run the MAC Oracle Client.
- Export your calendar data as an ICS iCalendar file to your desktop
- Open Entourage 2004
- Select the Calendar View Window
- Ensure that you highlight the UIC Exchange Calendar on the left view pane.
- Drag the ICS file from your desktop onto the Entourage ICON/ALIAS/DOCK ICON. Please note, do not drag this into the Entourage program itself.
- The events from the ICS file should now populate within Entourage.
- After about 15 minutes, you can verify that the events have been transferred to Exchange by verifying the OWA interface at http://exchange.uic.edu.
