ACCC Local Area Network Services

Some of our our premium services

ADDA: ADDA is the rebirth of ACCC's Server Services giving staff, and faculty members access to premium services provided by ACCC. Services include Licensed Software, and Network File Storage which are fully integrated into UIC's Active Directory.
AD Exchange Email Service: Email in the Microsoft Exchange 2003 environment that ensures a flawless integration with Outlook with enhanced calendar, email, contact, task, and note management.
UIC on iTunes U: Provides access to a wide range of UIC-related digital media content via the iTunes Music Store.
JABBER: Jabber is an open source instant messaging system based on XML, with client software available for all the major operating systems. Jabber makes it easy to communicate online with fellow UIC staff and students. To use Jabber, you must have a valid UIC and ACCC common password.
PRINTING: A group of high quality, duplex, PostScript laser printers. These are "operated" printers -- as each person's output is printed, a Computer Center staff member places it into a plastic bag, then it is delivered to the "distribution" location selected when it was printed. Anyone at UIC may use these printers. There are two central printer distribution locations:
UIC Campus Wide Active Directory: A central AD infrastructure that allows for seamless integration of our public computing labs with existing ACCC services as well as department's access to AD technology with reduce investment in time and computer hardware.
UICast Lecture Capture: Lecture Capture is a technology that allows professors to record their class sessions, and make them available electronically on systems such as Blackboard and iTunesU
