Services

Learning Environments & Technology Services provides many services to both UIC faculty/departments and third parties. Find details on some of the services below.

Classroom Assistance

The primary responsibility of LETS is to provide assistance to those using the UIC Learning Environments. We do this by providing email, phone, instant message, and walk-in support for various issues that arise in the classrooms. Visit the Support page for contact information.

Equipment/Services Reservations

To support the UIC learning environments, LETS maintains an inventory of various types of multimedia equipment. Please visit our Reservations page for further information.

Please Note: Equipment rentals that extend beyond our normal operating hours require the renting party to provide security for the rented equipment until pickup of the equipment can be made during our normal business hours. Loss of the rented equipment during rental periods is the responsibility of the renting party.

Consultation

In many cases, installations of multimedia equipment require extensive knowledge of various fields, and the work is done by third party vendors. However, LETS technicians can assist via consultation on various aspects of a technology/audio-visual project. Please contact our department for more information.

Special Events

Learning Environments & Technology Services also assists with multimedia needs for special events, such as seminars, conferences, etc. There may be equipment and service charges that apply, depending on the nature of the event. Please use our Reservations page to arrange equipment and service reservations for your special event.
