    1. Where can I find basic information about the configuring telephone connections for the Macintosh?

      I have System 7.6 or above and am thus using MacPPP with TCPIP (Open Transport) for my dialin connection.
      Where can I check to make sure that my connection is configured properly?
    4. MacTCP and MacSLIP Modem Configuration for below System 7.6
      I am still using MacTCP or MacSLIP with my modem connection. Where can I check to see if it is properly configured?

 
   
 
     
General Problems
 

Question 1.1 I have intermittent disconnection problems; after connecting successfully and using the network, I am suddenly disconnected.

Question 2.2 I don't know what System Software my Mac is running - how can I find out?

  • Click on your desktop, then click the Apple in the upper left hand corner, then click ABOUT THIS MACINTOSH.

Question 2.3 MacPPP / TCPIP/ Open Transport Modem Configuration for System 7.6 and above
I have System 7.6 or above and am thus using MacPPP with TCPIP (Open Transport) for my dialin connection.
Where can I check to make sure that my connection is configured properly?


Question 2.4 MacTCP and MacSLIP Modem Configuration for below System 7.6
I am still using MacTCP or MacSLIP with my modem connection. Where can I check to see if it is properly configured?
