Free Seminars for Spring 1995
|
| |
As usual, the Academic Computing and Communications Center is giving a series of seminars on computer-related
topics this semester. Many of the Computer Centers seminars (including the ones
on the Internet) provide hands-on experience. The seminars are generally held
in two locations: Room 2249 SEL, 950 South Halsted, and Room 179 BGRC, 1940
West Taylor. Any member of the UIC community may attend these seminars. No registration
is necessary, and attendance is free of charge.

By Special Order or Do It Yourself
|
| |
Do you want a special seminar for your department or class? You can reserve
a Computer Center seminar room (or, in some cases, other ADN public labs)
for it, or reserve our portable projection equipment and use your own room.
If it's a seminar that we normally teach, we might be able to arrange a
mutually agreeable time to offer an extra session. If there's software
involved, give us at least two weeks notice, or better yet, tell us when
you reserve the room, and we'll install it on our lab servers. (But it
must, of course, be properly licensed.) Are you interested? Send a note
to consult@uic.edu or call the Client
Services Office at 3-0003 and we'll work something out.
Comments are appreciated; send them to
