Phonebook Contacts -- Changing Phonebook Information

Departmental phonebook contact people are responsible for updating the UIC phonebook with information about departmental members. This is important for getting a netid, computer account, and phonebook listing.

What is a Netid?
A network ID, or netid, is a public identifier used to identify yourself for network services; among other things, a netid is part of your UIC email address and is used to login to ACCC computers and ACCC dialin servers. It is not a password. It is not an account, itself, but you need one to get an account.

Can I change my own phonebook info?

You can look yourself up to verify your info. You can change a small amount of information about yourself, principally your email forwarding, registered personal home page, and the ability to get UIC Announce messages by email. Any other changes have to be done by your departmental phonebook contact.
