Annotate PDF (details)

  • click anywhere with notes tool to insert a comment
  • type your comment into the box
  • move and resize box to taste, then fold it up if desired
  • right-click comment icon to choose its type and color and decide whether it should be open or closed
  • can set default font & color per author
  • similarly, highlight text or draw an ellipsis to highlight an area, then click the markup to insert a comment
  • for long comments, e.g. suggested replacement paragraphs, use the text annotation tool (set a font preference first)
  • Window > Show Annotations, then Rescan Document to see all comments and markup (sorted by type, author, or page)
  • annotations by multiple authors can be merged into one document via Export/Import Annotations
