Images

There are many way to add images into your Dreamweaver page and a few types of graphic images that you can insert into your page. All current browsers support both GIF and JPEG graphic formats. GIF images afe saved in 8-bit color creating a small file size image with a limited color range. JPEG saves images in the 24-bit modes, producing a larger file size with a more indepth color range.

To insert a graphic uding the objects panel, place the insertion point in the first line of the document , click image on the common objects panel, the Select Image Source dialog box opens, as shown above. Select Preview Images to see a thumbnail of the image you select. Choose select.

The Property Inspector will allow you to see the attributes of the image and if necessary make changes to the image or the image's placement on the page.

Try clicking on the Property Inspector's Align Center to place the image in the center of the page. If you dont see the Align Center option on the Property Inspector, make sure the Expander Arrow is selected to see the whole range of options available for images.
