Charting in Excel 2000

Charting I

When you create a spreadsheet, it is often necessary to make decisions based on the data. However, making those decisions based on hundreds of figures may be impractical. Creating a CHART can be an effective method of using your spreadsheet data to make an easily-readable report. Excel assists you through the process of creating a chart with the CHART WIZARD. For a sample, the following data will be used to create a chart:

There are four sections to the Chart Wizard

The wizard gives you a list of 14 standard charts and 20 custom charts from which you can select. With each of the 14 standard charts, there can be as many as 7 variations, making over 100 different types of charts available. If you hold your mouse on the button "Press and hold to view sample", the wizard will show the sample chart with the selected data in it.
