Why Use Macromedia Fireworks
Fireworks allows users to import files from all major graphics formats and manipulate both vector and bitmap images to quickly create graphic images and interactivity. Images can be easily exported to Dreamweaver, Flash as well as third-party applications.
Designers and developors creating images and adding color to their Web site with programs such as Photoshop. There is no question Photoshop is a great program, but Photoshop is primarily geared towards creating print graphics and is not streamlined for Web development. Though Photoshop, and other similar programs) are powerful, they can be cumbersome and some lack the ability to address issues such as, easy file compression, behaviors and image optimization.
