The Drawing Toolbar in PowerPoint 2000 allows you to make many different shapes. You can use the AutoShapes button to make all sorts of different types of shapes.

Each of the categories has several shapes from which you can choose. Remember, you can hold down the [SHIFT] key while clicking-and-dragging to keep the dimensions proportional. Holding down [CTRL] will draw the shape at the point where you started. (size about center.)
