Graphics in PowerPoint 2000

Importing Images

You can also import images. To do this, go to the Insert Menu and choose to insert either a picture or movies and sounds from a file. Here is an example of an imported picture.

Resizing an image

If needed, you can resize the image to make it larger or smaller by clicking-and-dragging on one of the resize handles on each side and corner of the image. NOTES: if you hold down the [SHIFT] key on the keyboard while dragging one of the corner resize handles, the dimensions of the picture will remain proportional. By holding down the [CTRL] key, you resize the image about its center. Watch as we resize the image of the evil Mr. Spock about the center.

The image can also be moved by clicking and dragging in the middle of the image. <Click here to see a video demo of both.> (157K)
