The Tri-Pane View

The newest and perhaps most powerful feature of PowerPoint 2000 is the Tri-Pane View. This gives users a chance to look at their presentation in three ways on the same screen. The slide shows in the right half of the screen with any additional notes that you add below it On the left half of the screen, an outline of your presentation allows you to create the text for it in a logical manner.

If you wish to make editing changes to the outline section, it is recommended to bring up the Outlining toolbar. To do this, right-click on one of the existing toolbars at the top (or the Drawing toolbar at the bottom) and choose Outlining from the list of available toolbars. <Click here for a video demo of this.> (356K)
