in Word 2000
WordArt
One of
the most interesting tools available in Word 2000 is the WordArt
feature, located on the Drawing toolbar.
It allows you to take any text you wish and make it into a
very fancy graphic. To use WordArt, cut the text you wish
to use from your document and click on the WordArt button.

As an
example, we'll use the rainbow WordArt style, which is the
fourth item in the third row. You then get a dialog box where
you can paste your text. The box shown below shows the pasted
text with a new font and font size.

When you
click on OK, the WordArt will be inserted into your document,
and you can drag it to any location you wish. If you need
to, the WordArt toolbar also appears to allow you to make
changes.

You can
use the buttons on the WordArt toolbar to edit the text, rotate
the image, change letter heights, and format the image. A
prime example is the WordArt Shape button.
