Tabs
Moving and Changing Tabs
When we
set the tabs, there is a very wide gap between the Office
column and the 1996 Sales column. We can select all 4 rows
again and move the tab that currently sits at 2". By clicking-and-dragging
a tab, you can move it to a new location. Here is what the
sheet looks like if we click-and-drag the 2" tab to 1.75".
(To keep the columns even, we'll also move the 4" tab to 4.25".)

The only
downside of our columns is the titles over each cities' sales
would look better if they were centered over the numbers.
We can accomplish this by changing the tabs for the first
row only. Changing a tab is actually a two-step process. Firstly,
you must remove the existing tab by dragging it down. Secondly,
you must click on the ruler where you want the new tab to
go. (If necessary, change the type of tab.) For this example,
we'll highlight the first row, drag the current tabs away,
then replace each with a center tab slightly left of the old
tab. Here is the result. <Click
