Word 2000 Introduction


 

The Word 2000 Interface

There are several areas that make up the Word 2000 interface.

Title Bar
Menu Bar-gives options for working with documents
Standard Toolbar-buttons for opening, saving, closing, and printing files
Formatting Toolbar-used for formatting text with different fonts, sizes, and colors
Ruler-used to help with cursor position, tabs, and indents
Text area-the insertion point is where items will be inserted
Status Bar-gives position of the insertion point and other information on the current document
