Word 2000 Introduction

In-Document Spell Check

When typing a document in Word 2000, you may come across words with a red squiggled line underneath. These are words that Word 2000 does not have in its dictionary and are being flagged as potentially misspelled word. When this happens, you can right-click on the word to correct it.

This is the menu that pops up when you right-click on the flagged item.

We can choose one of the alternatives out of the list, go to the regular Spell Check, or choose to ignore that particular word in the rest of the document if it happens to be spelled correctly. In this example, the first word on the list is the one we want.
