About DTP in general
|
| |
- About.com's Desktop
Publishing pages.
- Jacci Howard Bear About.com's DTP guide. Like all the About.com sites,
the DTP pages include lots of their own background and how-to information
and also links to other useful outside sites. Some of the DTP subjects are:
Getting Started, Learning DTP, Graphics Tips, Printing, Scanning, and Typography
(including fonts). There are also pages on a number of popular desktop publishing
software packages.
- ACCC Seminars and seminar
materials.
- While the ACCC's free seminars on publishing topics are generally aimed
at publishing on the Web, there are introductory word processing seminars
and graphics seminars that are useful in desktop publishing.

About PostScript
|
| |
- About.com's PostScript
page, which is one of their DTP pages.
- This has a good intro to PostScript and includes info on how to print PostScript
on non-PostScript printers and on EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) graphics files.
- A
First Guide to PostScript.
- Adobe PostScript is a page description programming language; this page is
an introduction to programming in the PostScript language. You don't need
this to use PostScript, but it's great if you're curious about how it works.
It also has a bit about PostScript error messages.
