Text Editors at the ACCC

This document lists the text editors and tools that are available through the ACCC at UIC.

• emacs (Gnu text editor), a full-featured editor that provides a complete working environment, allowing one to: edit, rename, delete, and copy files; compile programs; interact with the Unix shell; and so on. Emacs can also be used with X Windows.
• pico, the stand-alone version of the default text editor for the Unix email system pine.
