Options

the [-p prof] [-a prof_arg] [-w width] [[dir] [file [...]]]
or
x [-p prof] [-a prof_arg] [-w width] [[dir] [file [...]]]

-h,-?	show brief help information
-n	do not execute a profile file
-m	force display into monochrome mode
-r	run THE in read-only mode
-s	turn off signal trapping (Unix only)
-p prof	filename of profile file
-a prof_arg	argument(s) to profile file (only with REXX)
-w width	maximum width of line (default 2048)
[dir [file [...]]]	file(s) and/or directory to be edited
