UICalendar | ||
| Overview | ||
|
UICalendar is a campus-wide calendaring and scheduling service offered
by ACCC. UICalendar implements the Oracle Calendar Server, a component
of Oracle's Collaboration Suite. ACCC has obtained a site license from Oracle
that enables us to provide the service to the entire UIC community -- free of
charge.
Information for personal calendars, departmental/event calendars and resource calendars is stored on a central ACCC server that is accessible from a number of client platforms including Web browsers, native clients (for Windows/Mac/Linux/Solaris) and Microsoft Outlook (requires installation of a special Oracle Calendar Outlook Connector). These Web pages used to have some "coming soon" announcements; most of those have already come, so they are no longer necessary. |

| Departmental Administrative Calendars / Event Calendars | ||
| See UICal Departmental Event, Room, and Resource Calendars for instructions on how to create and share departmental event, room, and resource calendars. Only a departmental REACH person can create one of these calendars. If you don't know who your department's REACH representative is, see Search for your Department's REACH member.The editing of the calendar after it's created can be done by anyone with a UICal account whom the calendar owner assigns designate rights to for the calendar. | ||
| Seminars | ||
| We offer seminars on UICalendar on a regular basis; see the ACCC Computer Training Workshops Web page for the current schedule. | ||
| What about the Students? | ||
| Registered students may now open UICalender accounts. Students may see and modify (if given rights) faculty and staff calendars and visa/versa. | ||
