Entering the Synchronization Settings on Your Palm Device
Open Oracle Setup on your Palm organizer and enter your Oracle Calendar server sign-in settings.
- User: Enter the user name provided by your administrator.
- Password: Enter your password.
- Server: Enter the domain name or the IP address of the Oracle Calendar server.
Note: If you do not have the server information, contact your administrator. Alternatively, if you are using the Oracle Calendar desktop client, check for the server name in the Connection Manager dialog box.
- Node: Many server configurations do not require you to specify a node. However, if synchronization fails, view the message log. If the message log displays an error regarding the node or server information, contact your administrator.
Notes:
- If you want to synchronize your address book, you need to download the offline files. Sign in to the Oracle Calendar desktop client once before synchronization and download the offline files when prompted.
- Before you perform a synchronization, make sure you are not signed in to the Oracle Calendar desktop client.
- Oracle recommends that you synchronize your mobile devices with only one computer. Synchronizing a device with multiple computers can lead to unexpected results.
