Data Communication Services

ACCC - Telecommunications Data Services offers connections to departmental
LAN's (Local Area Networks), connections to the Campus Area Network (ADN)
and ITS (Information Technology Services) for Hospital/Winstation connections.
Data jack requests should be accompanied by a Telecommunications
Services Requisition and Data Survey Sheet.

Point-to-Point Communication Circuits
|
| |
ACCC can provide point to point circuits for a variety of applications
including data, alarm, bells etc. Circuits required within a building are
installed and maintained on a time and materials basis; these circuits
have no recurring monthly charges. Circuits required between buildings
are installed on a time and materials basis and have a monthly charge of
$xxxx each. These circuits provide unconditioned 'dry' interconnections
on existing telephone cable. No load transformers or surge suppression
is provided. For more information call

Off-Campus Circuits
|

These are communication circuits which extend from a campus building to
some location off campus or a campus location not served by our campus
distribution system. These circuits are provided by a communication vendor
such as AT&T, Ameritech, MCI or Sprint. ACCC can order these circuits
for departments and arrange for their connection to the campus communications
distribution system. The charge for connecting these circuits to the campus
distribution system is time/materials plus $xxxx per month per circuit.

ISDN
|
| |
(Integrated Service Digital Network) - Digital telephone service which
is generally used for data and video applications. Charges are based on
the application configured on each line:

Single Channel Voice or Data - $xxxx per month

Dual Channel Voice or Data - $xxxx per month
* Special ISDN telephones, video or data equipment is also required depending
on how the line will be used. A special ISDN line/hardware package is available
for faculty or staff to connect to the campus area network from an off-campus
